Quinte Waste Solutions is an organization responsible for all waste reduction programs for a group of municipalities that includes Belleville, Quinte West, Tyendinaga, Prince Edward County, Centre Hastings, Stirling/Rawdon, the Municipalities of Tweed, Madoc Township and Marmora & Lake. Quinte Waste Solutions is administered by the Centre & South Hastings Waste Services Board, which is made up of one member from each of the above municipalities. On behalf of these municipalities, Quinte Waste Solutions operates the Blue Box recycling program, Hazardous Waste program and programs to divert organic materials including food scraps and leaves and brush from landfill. Quinte Waste Solutions also offers recycling services to various other Quinte area municipalities including Limerick and Wollaston.
